I hope you are doing well today.
I have made multiple tests on my lab site and I could only replicate the issue which makes images duplicate in the gallery, but not display twice that gallery.
Could you disable the “Lazy Loading” feature in Smush or in your specific gallery in the Config tab and see if that will give better results? At the moment it must be one of the same features which exist in both plugins, which could affect this. My suspicion points to the Lazy load feature in the first place.
Please let us know about the results.

Yep disabled lazy load on pages and it worked fine.
