I only ask the above to ensure I don’t skip anything in the link above. If nothing seems to work, check the Wordfence > Tools menu and send us a diagnostic report so we can take a closer look. You can send that to us at wftest @ wordfence . com. Click on “Send Report by Email”. Please add your forum username where indicated and respond here after you have sent it.

Hello Peter,
thank you for your response. the problem was with the wflog folder which somehow updated with write permission and also the confiq table was corrupted. I manually uninstalled, deleted the folders, dropped the table and then reinstalled from scratch, it worked after that, thank you anyway
