I found the following plugin:

But it just links my items straight to the Etsy shop, i’d prefer to click on an item and then view it’s full details within my WP site first. So basically I’d have detail pages for each item on my WP site, and then just having a ‘buy’ button which would then link to my Etsy shop
Is this possible? or would I have to manually add everything to my WP site?

Have you searched for any other plugins for Etsy?
At a guess that sort of thing would probably be possible using the Etsy API if they have one (haven’t checked). If they did it would most likely be a case of connecting to your account with an API key and pulling data using the title or SKU as the unique key.
Are you currently using WooCommerce or anything like that?
EDIT: the plugin you linked to has details about adding your the Etsy API developer key in the installation page.
