I have an issue with wordpress.
When users visit our /events link it no longer goes to the Upcoming Events page, which is visible and looks correct when I'm logged and editing it in WordPress. It looks correct when I preview it in the browser logged in. Despite this, Users visiting the /events permalink are immediately redirected to our Homepage when they type in the permalink.
I've been googling "issues with permalink" but haven't had any success. We had a Plugin for Events that used to push to the /events permalink, but someone started using a different method (not a plugin?) for our events about 2 years ago, so I'm trying to stick with those Events and its structure so I don't have to recreate about 70 "Past Events." I renamed that stub for The Events Calendar plugin before I disabled it, but that didn't help.
Any ideas on what might be the issue?
