I run a website with a small members area and today a user reported that she tried to log in and received the message “Important: Your password has expired. This (one-time) change requires you to reset your password. Please click here to reset your password via Email.”
To test, I created a new user and when I tried to log in, the same error appeared.
It seems to be something only for new users, as I tested it with old users and login occurred normally.
What could be happening?
PS: The user is unable to reset the password because the corporate email used when registering does not allow access to the link.
And even trying to change the password via the site’s administrative panel, the expired password message continues to appear.
