Extensions no longer available | WordPress.org

[ad_1]

Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

Just to be sure: Are you having actual trouble with an Extension?

They should actually continue to work fine, on sites where they are installed, and they can remain installed. I will not make any deliberate changes in TablePress to break them, or limit them, or turn them off!

However, at the same time, the Extensions will no longer receive updates or support, so in theory it is possible that something breaks in the future. Updates and support are now available with a Premium plan. In addition, the new Premium modules offer a much better integration into TablePress and WordPress. For example, it’s no longer necessary to deal with separate plugins on a site, and they integrate nicely into the TablePress user interface. For example, this allows directly configuring many options with text fields, checkboxes, and similar, instead of having to deal with Shortcode parameters where it’s easy to make mistakes. And the new Premium modules that replace the old Extensions in most cases also have improvements like more functionality or enhanced performance.

So, you don’t necessarily have to buy a Premium version, but if you want updates, support, and more features, I recommend that you do 🙂 More information is on https://tablepress.org/premium/ (and there’s a special launch offer running for a couple more days)!

I hope this helps! If there’s anything still unclear, please let me know.

Best wishes,
Tobias

I would prefer to upgrade, but my church is small and is behind budget. The link to the extension plugin site pages no longer work. Is there a way to download what used to be on the pages for reference?

Hi,

yes, I understand that upgrading is sometimes challenging. If the special launch offer is not available anymore if/once you can/want to upgrade, please get in touch, and we’ll find a way.

Correct, I have not moved the Extension pages to the new TablePress website, and I’m not sure yet if I will. Their content will be similar to that of the corresponding premium features modules, so that will maybe already help. Or, you could try using the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine, to find the older versions, e.g. https://web.archive.org/web/20220817201301/tablepress.org/extensions/

Best wishes,
Tobias
