Feature or bug? (Astra + Starter Templates + Elementor)

[ad_1]

Hello!

I'm not sure this is a bug or a feature… I've been looking everywhere and can't find an answer. I'm using the Astra Theme + Starter Templates (outdoor adventure) + Elementor.

I've tested this several times on a clean install, both on my hosting and with localwp.

When editing anything with elementor some of the settings are empty. Whenever I want to customize anything I must first "guess" or go find somewhere what the default setting is.

I'm just coming back to web design, so I apologize if this is something obvious I'm missing.

To make it clear I'll post an example!

On elementor this padding appears empty, right?

But if place a zero the padding changes. It's actually 10. For me to customize this padding, I must first discover somewhere else or by trial and error that the padding is 10.

On Gutenberg (I tried another fresh install to find this), it doesn't happen. The values are there.

This is just an example. It happens with most settings on other places. It's really annoying. What am I missing? The astra + starter templates should work with elementor right? Or not? 😀

Thank you!!

  1. Feature: leaving container padding empty makes Elementor inherit default value of 10px which can be changed in Elementor Global Settings – Layout – Container Padding.
