Filter by Product Attributes (do I have the right meta key?)

[ad_1]

Hello! This plugin looks like it’s exactly what I need, however, I can’t get it to display my custom attributes.

In WP > Products > Attributes, I’ve created an attribute called “Material.” Slug is “material”. Attribute terms are Barnwood (slug=barnwood), Cherry (slug=cherry), Mahogany, Maple, Oak, Pine, etc.

I’ve assigned these attributes to several products. For example, while editing a product under Product Data > Attributes, I did “Add Existing” and selected “Material.” For the value, I selected the appropriate material, e.g. “Oak.” I tried selecting “visible on the product page” and leaving it unselected (I would prefer not visible, but it doesn’t matter in the end).

Then I created a filter set.

  • Post Type to filter: Products
  • Add filter: Product Categories.
    • (This one works in the sidebar widget I added!)
  • Add filter: Custom Field
    • Filter by: Custom Field
    • Meta Key: I tried “material” and “Material” and “_material” and “product_attributes” and “14” (which is the number in the url when editing “Material” attribute”) and about 15 more guesses. None have worked!
    • Filter Title: Material
    • Var Name for URL: material
    • View in Widget: Dropdown

Save/publish/update, and no matter what I do I can’t get the widget to display correctly. Again, the category dropdown displays correctly, but the Material one does this:

MATERIAL
There are no filter terms yet

What am I doing wrong? Please help! Thanks!
