Hi WP community – I’m brand new to WordPress and am learning while I work on a project, namely an online calendar to show events and activities in my community. I’m kind of overwhelmed by the number of event calendar plugins and wondering if folks have recommendations for one(s) that might fit my particular needs:
1. Free, or at least a free tier and a low annual cost. (This is, after all, a free project for the community that’s not going to bring in one cent of revenue for me!)
2. Support for multiple user accounts, so that each organization that sponsors events and activities can manage their own postings on the site.
3. Beginner friendly.
4. Variety of calendar-view and filtering options.
5. Nice to have would be email subscriptions so that people could get a weekly email listing new/upcoming events that meet their prescribed interests.
6. I do not care about event registration; I’m not hosting any of these events I’m just publicizing them.
