Front-end for event tracking website

[ad_1]

Hi everyone! I work for a small company that puts on public events (i.e. charity events). My boss wants me to put together a website where people can see upcoming events, and some live info on how many tickets have been sold, etc. They also need to be able to have an account to save events and receive email updates.

My plan is to pull the back-end data into a database and use an API to feed it into the website. How should I approach the front-end of this? I’d like to leverage WordPress, as my front-end coding experience is minimal. The goal would be to create a minimum-viable-product, and bring in more developers if it gains traction. Any advice is appreciated!

  1. Using a plugin: Events Calendar Pro

Using Custom: create a CPT with the appropriate fields.
