Front page SEO / Template question

[ad_1]

Hello WordPress pros

I got a question as I’m new to WP.

I’m building my business a new website that has to be relatively SEO optimized.

My question is:

When making the front page of my static site, should i do this via the front page template, or leave it “empty” with just a **header – page content block – footer**.

or

Make the entire page in the front page template?

I’m also using YoastSEO, and this is where I’m unsure what is “right”.
When a search engine scans my website what page will it see?
Will the invisible “redirect” from my page cause bad SEO?

Or am i just not understanding something?

Any help appreciated! :=)

    WordPress uses a templating system to dynamically build pages for you. So, this is confusing.

    Ignoring that, it sounds like you are using the Full Site Editor to design your page. In which case, how you lay it out is ultimately up to you. As long as you are using best practices when entering content, either option will be fine. I think the main difference you may see is that when editing actual page content Yoast will offer up some info and give you options that may not be available when editing the template.
