relating this I can only to recommen to try out cg_gallery_user shortcode, like already recommended in answer before. A logged in user generally can edit own profile with options depends on role. There is a Contest Gallery Since V14 role available. You can simply switch your test user to this role. In this role user can edit some data related to the Contest Gallery and galleries. Also editing profile image is available there visible in gallery if logged in user added an image. But showing the profile image of “contest gallery since v14” role is only available in PRO. Configurable in “Edit options” >>> “File view” options.
