Yeah I believe there are gallery plugins that have gif hover animations. I believe they’re paid versions but they’re out there. I had to build one for a client and when I saw that the plugins were premium I just did it myself using custom CSS.
I will say, mouse hover effects don’t really translate to mobile any way? So I wouldn’t lose your hair over it.
