GiveWP: Modifing the donation receipt valu once the donation is done

[ad_1]

Hello everyone!

We are organizing a fundraising event for a non-profit organization. We are creating a sports event by reserving a private box to invite people. I already know the possible number of guests and the price of the box, but I don’t yet know the price of the food we will be serving. To issue my donation receipts (in Quebec at least), I need to deduct from the ticket price, the price of the box and the food according to the possible number of people. I would like to start selling my tickets online with Give on my WordPress site. Can I issue tax receipts later with a different amount than what the buyer entered? If yes, how? Or can I issue a $0 tax receipt and modify it later? Has anyone faced a similar issue?

Does anyone have recommendations on how to best manage this. Thank you for your assistance!

  1. Why do you need WPGive for this? This just sounds like a job for a normal Woocommerce site with the tickets as products. Why can’t you just sell tickets at $50 a piece, for example? If you need the ticket price to be varied, there is a “name your price” plugin.

I’m not sure why you’re deducting the food from the receipt – isn’t that something that the organisation pays for as part of the hosting cost? It’s odd that you’d take that out of each ticket.
