So apparently for those with website viewership in Europe who are subject to GDPR, as of today there is a new hurdle for us to clear or our sites will be demonetized (if using Google Ads). “Consent Mode” requires more detailed info being transmitted to Google through the cookie consent notice popup we add to pages. It is not enough to simply have a consent notice, it must be coded in a way where all the right info is transmitted to Google. The instructions google provides are for intermediate coders.
Presently, there is no way to do this on your own without significant coding experience, or through a monthly subscription $$$ to a Consent Management Platform. The free versions of these platforms do not provide this functionality. How is everyone else navigating this?
