Google Site Kit & Yell Tracking Scripts

[ad_1]

Hi, I manage a WordPress website, Elementor, and it uses Site Kit for Google Analytics and Search Console.

The business owner has signed up to Yell for an advertising campaign.

“Yell Smart Performance Call & Conversion Tracking Script
To track the calls and online conversions from your advertising, you’ll need to add the tag below to your website. This is a Google Tag Manager script and we’ll insert the relevant scripts for the call and conversion tracking that you’ve opted into within a Google Tag Manager account that we’ve set up for your campaigns.”

I tried to implement this within Site Kit – but it seemed to only want to connect to Site Kit that is part of my own Google account – the one set up by me for Google Analytics and Search Console.

They supplied 2 scripts, one for the head and one for the body. I have pasted them into Elementor Custom Code – applied with a top priority for both, and applied site wide.

My question is – will this set up work OK?

I’m concerned about any potential clash between Site Kit and Elementor Custom Code – or should they just work together OK?

Ideally I would’ve liked to keep it all within Site Kit – but it seems that would be impossible – as it’s Yell (the ad agency) that set up and controls the Tag Manager account?

Many many thanks in advance for any advice you can offer, Chris
