While this question is for a hobby site (not really necessary for revenue), Id still like to get it right in terms of both UX and I guess to some extent SEO.
The best analogy is that the site is for outlining ‘tools’ and how to use them in a specific hobby – there are 100’s if not thousands of tools and lets say the categories were for example (based on regular tools):
* Saws
* Panel Saw
* Tenon Saw
* Miter Saw
* Hammers
* Claw Hammer
* Ball Pein Hammer
* Drill
* Hammer Drill
* Combi Drill
* Impact Driver
* SDS Drill
But each of these tools could then be categorised by profession for example: Engineering Tools, Carpentry tools, where there will be some crossover.
Whats a good way of being able to create alternative groupings, using the same tools but with different use cases or attributes without siloing them or creating an absolute mess.
I appreciate I am potentially overthinking it, but the aim of the site is to help people starting out with this hobby get a picture of the forest and the trees when it comes to being able to see/ be aware of every tool one might use, but also if/ when they would use them.
Is \[www.sitename.com/panel-saw\] , \[[www.sitename.com/claw-hammer](https://www.sitename.com/hammers/claw-hammer)\] the best way, and then use compiled lists OR is \[sitename.com/saws/panel-saw\] , \[www.sitename.com/hammers/claw-hammer\] better?
