I am familiar with Gutenberg native blocks and good with using them. I have built several sites utilising native blocks and block patterns. Currently, I am working on an e-commerce website that requires custom blocks, so I need to learn how to build them. Before I commence the work, I wanted to know if building custom blocks using React is difficult, so I can address this before it’s too late in the project. I have a good understanding of HTML, CSS, PHP, and jQuery, but I have zero knowledge of React and how to build custom blocks.
I watched a few tutorials on custom blocks, and they seemed overwhelming. Do you have any tips, suggestions, or links to share with a beginner that would help me hit the ground running? And my approach is right to work with building custom blocks whilst being a beginner?

Yes, native blocks with React are difficult to create. If you are feeling overwhelmed, try using Advanced Custom Fields blocks instead. You can get the same effects with much less effort and time, especially if you’re already familiar with ACF.
