So, if I add a heading on the desktop view , and when I switch to tablet or mobile view, and then align the heading to center, why it does not take effect? In reality, for desktop also it is centering. I thought when you are on mobile view, the changes are active on the particular viewport. Help!

It’s not about the editor. It’s about the theme you’re using which has to support mobile.

Well, it doesn’t work that way.
Try clearing your cache. Especially if you’re on a mobile device. Much of what happens in Gutenberg is based on css snippets, and clearing your cache, or at a minimum doing a hard refresh (cmd+shift+r) will “fix” the issue.
Kadence uses media queries to solve responsiveness. When you are editing there are icons for desktop, tablet and mobile.
In the case of the header, you edit tablet and mobile at the same time, separated from the desktop menu.
[How to Customize the Kadence Header](https://www.kadencewp.com/help-center/docs/kadence-theme/how-to-customize-the-kadence-header/)
When using kadence blocks, you have the three icons separated to edit independently.
