Wordfence free version has recently identified the Gutenberg plugin as a security vulnerability. I’m relatively new to using WP so I have gone under the assumption that Gutenberg is here to stay and that I need to embrace it, but this has me wondering about alternatives.
This is just a hobby for me so I’m not trying to pay for something like Elementor or Bricks.
1) how serious is this vulnerability?
I’ve got the usual free security features setup on my site, including 2fa, so I’m tempted to dismiss this and continue using Gutenberg. Is that prudent?
2) what are the free alternatives to Gutenberg other than the classic editor?
