Handling multiple clients w/ Cloudways

[ad_1]

Hi!

I’ve been handling a couple of websites developed in WordPress. Up until now I’ve just setup a domain + hosting per client/website. The client then just pays the annual value.

Since all of my clients are not really tech savvy nor they care about that, I’m thinking of migrating all my clients to a Cloudways server and setup an application for each website.

They would still pay the same value for hosting, but I’ll manage it myself on the same server.

I know a lot of you guys went this route and I have a couple questions:

1. Any problem you faced with this approach?
2. How are you charging your clients? Especially considering that a client may have a website with close to no traffic which grows and you have to scale your servers to support it.
3. How do you handle e-mail? Most of my clients don’t use custom e-mails, but the hosting already includes those. With Cloudways you have to pay something like 1$/Month per e-mail. How do you charge your clients for this?
4. Is in the long-run a profitable approach?
5. How are you monitoring and understanding the needs for scaling or isolating a certain app on its own server?
