Hi all – I have custom CSS that indents the first word of the paragraph which is helpful for long text posts. However, it globally affects all paragraphs, including the excerpt, which I don’t need indented. I figured out you can use HTML in the excerpt and it’s a simple P class tag – however, my staff of editors will be adding the excerpt and even if they use the HTML tag, the likelihood of them getting wrong is pretty high. It’s a simple copy and paste of the code, but they won’t do it or they’ll get it wrong. Guaranteed.
So, what I’m looking for is a way to hardcode the excerpt to exclude the CSS indent for the excerpt only. I know WordPress well enough and can edit the code if I have to, I’m hoping there is a quick fix to ensure the excerpt doesn’t have that indentation, just to make life easier for me. Thanks!
In this example, I used HTML in the post excerpt itself. The second post one is using the <P> tag.
