I'm having a bit of a crisis with my WordPress site and could really use some help. Here's the situation:
I have a custom post type on my WordPress site, and each post in this custom post type has several advanced custom fields (ACF) attached to it, including image fields. Up until about a week ago, everything was working perfectly. I could attach images to these custom posts without any issues, and they would display as attachments with Admin Columns as expected.
However, recently something has changed, and now the images aren't being recognized as attachments. I'm not sure what might have caused this, but it coincides with some recent updates I made (to WordPress, ACF, or other plugins—I updated a few things around the same time).
Old posts work fine, admin columns display their attached images and in my single post template they can be dynamically fetched.
However new post's no longer show anything. It seems like now images aren't being recognized as attachments. My single post temple still displays images dynamically, but if I want to test out gallery widget and just load post image attachments to it, for new posts it's empty.
Here’s what I’ve tried so far:
- Double-checked the field configurations in ACF to ensure they are set up correctly.
- Reviewed my template code to make sure it’s retrieving and displaying the images properly.
- Disabled other plugins to rule out conflicts.
- Switched to a default theme to see if the issue persists.
Despite these efforts, the images still aren't showing up. Has anyone else experienced a similar issue after updating? What else could I be missing? Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated!
