[Help] Are these required to be on ‘Privacy Policy’ page

[ad_1]

I have a website that offers tutorials on various subjects (excluding medical, legal, financial, etc.) and I’m not selling anything and only using few third parties like Google Search Console. I have already added a Privacy Policy page with these sections included:

* Your Data Protection Rights Under General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
* Your Data Protection Rights under the California Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA)
* Your Data Protection Rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)

I believe these sections are necessary because I can expect visitors from all around the world, not limited to one specific region. I have done a bit of research on other similar websites and noticed that even websites with services like Google AdSense do not include these sections in their Privacy Policy

Are these really necessary?

  1. My thought with dealing with legal stuff is to over protect myself.

You probably already planned to do this, but I’d suggest seeking legal counsel on this. Just to cover your butt from all angles, ya know?

  2. They now add this as default to ensure you meet requirements like for cookies, gdpr or having google adsense on your sites so it actually save you trouble in the future.
