Help me recreate this functionality for a block theme.

I am trying to copy this “image hover effect” on a block theme (not elementor). It displays nicely on all screen sizes too. Anyone wanna help me? I am using Spectra-one theme but would like to be able to use it in any block theme.

I found some code for a gallery but I can’t get the text and other info into each slide.

Any help or shove in the right direction is appreciated.
