Help migrating a site to a new laptop. Using Wampserver on win11.

[ad_1]

Hi all,

I’ve followed the instructions I found online:

* Exported the mysql db. Copied to stick.
* Copied the site folder from “www” folder. Also copied to stick.
* I then imported the db into phpmyadmin and pasted the site folder into “www” (on the new laptop).

The problem is when I try to open the localhost site address I get this reply:

>Cannot select database
>
>The database server could be connected to (which means your username and password is okay) but the sxxxxxxxa database could not be selected.

Yes, I’m sure it exists.

Yes, the user root has permission. All privileges are selected.

Any help would be much appreciated.
