Help needed: first paragraph shows twice

I recently started a blog. Whenever I publish a post, it always shows the first paragraph twice. I don’t have any plug-ins installed and can’t find anything about it in the settings. Anyone who can help me?

Thanks in advance!

  1. Most likely, and this is just a wild guess because you didn’t share what theme you’re using, your theme (or perhaps even a plugin) has an option to “highlight” the excerpt, like they do with the news articles. And if you don’t add an excerpt specifically, the data is reading the first paragraph instead.

To test the theory, check the post settings, add your own excerpt in the marked area and publish changes.

If nothing happens and you’re still seeing the same, I advise you to get in touch with your theme developer. Or get in touch with them if you would like to know how to disable / hide this feature (in case it even exists)

  2. Either you’ve created a post and a page with the same contents in which your settings is configured to display both
