I am first time website builder for a company I work for. It’s a wordpress site, using Elementor pro, and I’m having issues with email contact forms, when I send a test email through a pop up form create, I receive “Your submission failed because of a server error.” I’m just lost in the sauce and not sure if I have to use the plugin WP Mail SMTP but I’d rather not have to ask for more $ investment into this site… Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There are loads of free SMTP plugins you can use. I use Fluent SMTP on hundreds of sites with no problem. [https://wordpress.org/plugins/fluent-smtp/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/fluent-smtp/)

I would suggest you look at fluent SMTP with PostMark. You can use both for free up to about 100 sends per month and the deliverability of your emails with PostMark will be high.
It also allows you to send a confirmation receipt to the person filling in the form.
Much more professional.
