I have a website with the same 12 events each year (the date is the only thing that changes YoY). I’m trying to build a section at the top of the home page that automatically updates with the basic details for that month’s event.
How would you do this? I currently have each event set with its own detail page and a template I use as a card on an “All Events Page”. I’ve contemplated setting up an Events CPT with archive templates for each event (via categories), but I’d love to automate this as much as possible vs. creating a new post for every event each year.

How about using an Event Management plugin to do this? All of them have the ability to setup recurring events (eg. every 2nd Tuesdays of every month), Once setup, you can style the event listing and show that at the top of your homepage using shortcodes.
