I built a few Wix sites and recently switched to WP cause it’s cheaper.
I used the free version of a few site/page builder plugins like Elementor, Beaver, etc but they’re nothing like Wix when it comes to being easily customizable.
For instance you can’t drag and drop object and components to where you want to place them or easily resize images and videos, etc.

Am i having this problem because i’m using their free version or are WP plugins aren’t that customizable in general?
If not what plugin would you recommend? thanks!

Elementor is one of the best in terms of being easy to use. Keep in mind you’re upgrading from a very dumbed down platform like Wix and going into a more capable, more advanced platform like WordPress.
If you’re coming from Wix, I’d stick with the free version of Elementor and look up some tutorials. It is fairly easy to use and customize to the degree that you’re looking for, but you need familiarity with how it works. Once you learn a bit about it you’ll have what you need to do a lot more than you could with Wix.
