Hi Everyone!
To give you an idea, I'm new to website building and have been tasked to work through a website in WordPress. However, the previous person responsible for the website has used WPBakery website builder, and personally, it's too techy for me, and wanted to use Elementor instead
My question is, how would I go about migrating the website from one builder to another within the same domain and not having to make a new one in the simplest way possible?
All the youtube videos I've found have been no help, everyone's got a different way and it's too complicated. Others are saying to use a staging site while some say just migrate it over to a new domain. So I'm a bit lost, matter of fact even if I could start from the ground up from WPBakery to Elementor using the same domain without affecting the Google SEO that would be amazing.
Thanks Everyone! 🙂

Proprietary plugins who make website layout easy are a little bit like Hotel California. You can check out any time but you can never leave.
It would be best to make a copy of the site and switch to what ever you want to use and see what breaks. My guess is everything. You can repeat the circle, use another page builder and do the same in the future or, you can just use good old Gutenberg like many of us do and live happily ever after. Sorry to not have better news for you.
It will take time to migrate to a new plugin but it is doable, especially if the site isn’t too big.
