Help with blog template with gallery using generatepress, please!

Hi everyone, I’m building a website using generatepress pro and GenerateBlocks and I’m loving how it works. But I would like some help with something.

I’m currently building the blog post template for all of their blog posts.

They’ve decided that, underneath the title and the text, they want a gallery with 4/5 different images for every post. Seems fair.

I’m trying to make this as simple as possible for them, so what I’m trying to achieve is for them to simply click “add new post”, type the title and text, then upload the images and have them displayed, without them having to add a container, add a gallery, etc.

I’ve tried adding in a gallery block to the template but it’s not loading when I click “add new post”. What would be a good way to achieve this?

Thanks in advance!

  1. I’m building a site in the upcoming weeks that will be similar, so I’m curious to see how you/others tackle this. Mine involves a slider of images in the hero area of each post.

I was thinking of maybe installing a gallery plugin and just having the client drop in the shortcode each time, or maybe setting something up with ACF.

With ACF basically the idea would be to upload and “attach” the images to the post, then have the slider block in the post template pull those “attached” images when it runs through its post loop.
