Hello, I do videography as a side hustle and am trying to elevate my social presence. I started a WordPress site on the .com since at the time I didn’t know, we’ll get back to that later. I made my site and put everything I needed and have somewhat reached a happy landing spot, almost.
I have a Cover block with a video in the background that plays well on desktop but reverts to the poster image on mobile (I have an iPhone 15 Pro, iOS 18, and use Safari but also tested on Chrome app). When I was digging for info on a fix, most Reddit posts and other information I have read about all mention some sort of plugin. I have the .com Premium site plan so not the plugins business tier (again, we’ll get back to it).
One post did link to a Cover block update (maybe 4.7?) that mentions viewports of a certain size and smaller will not display the video. If this is what is happening to my cover block, can I skate around this somehow?

TLDR: Cover block doesn’t display mobile, I don’t have plugins, can I skate the viewport minimum size requirements?
Less important future question: Should I get away from .com and find another host that will allow plugin options with WordPress? Elementor looks like a cool builder and I’m a very visual person. $300/yr to use plugins seems a bit much.
