Help with online shop using woocommerce

[ad_1]

I am a developer/designer & my friend wants an online store. I would’ve told them to go get something like squarespace or similar, but they want it fully customised & the style matching their art.

I’d started to create a custom theme for them (designed page layouts, footer, header, gutenberg blocks), everything was going well until I realised my css overrides also removed the woocommerce default styles (not that I want them either). I would like to be able to customise the styling of the woocommerce pages (login/cart/account…) from scratch & not having to deal with the pre-existing wc class styles. Maybe there is a way to do that?

This is my first time doing this so I would really appreciate if someone told me I’m going down the wrong path with this or not?

Thats the right path. Do your design customizations with a theme.
