Hiding attributes if “Visible on the product page” is unticked?

I’m looking for a way to hide the variation swatches if the checkbox for “Visible on the product page” is unticked in the product attributes. I know they are hidden if I untick “Use for variations”, but this is not an option as I need this to stay ticked.

I’d prefer to not use a CSS-solution to hide the swatches, but I’m not entirely sure how I would apply the logic in PHP.
