I’ll have to add a hover on effect showing the featured image on a new WP page with a list of recent posts. List of post is easily resolved with a \[Display-post\] shortcode but auto-adding a hover effect on each link seems beyond me.

Is that possible or another shortcode/plugin is required?
Has anyone succeeded in fetching the featured image of each post and not just a manually set image link?
