how are updates of new strings handeled

Hi,

just installed the loco plugin on our staging environment and it is amazing. I also read about the save/”safe” location for translated files, so we are going with /loco. But what I am wondering about is,

1. ) what happens if a plugin adds new strings.
2.)How will text display, that is used by a plugin, but we do not have it in our file?
