How can I bypass changes I made on the mobile that affected the desktop version when editing or customizing my website?

[ad_1]

Note: I built my website using Elementor.

I watched a YouTube tutorial on “building a responsive website for both mobile and desktop.” All they said was to click on either the mobile or desktop icon. I clicked on the icon when making changes, but it still affected the changes on other devices. For instance, when I needed to change padding or margin on mobile because it was not looking right, after the changes, it also affected the desktop version.

Since the changes in my “mobile mode” affected the desktop version, I hid the desktop sections/columns version from mobile. Therefore I created separate sections/columns for mobile versions alone. This is a problem because it means more code, which leads to a slower website and it’s also time-consuming to rebuild sections/columns for the mobile version.

If anyone got an answer to this, I would be grateful.
