How can I display post categories?

I tried googling and event he WordPress Support forum doesnt have anything useful. Anything I find seems to refer to menu options that no longer exist, even some info from just a few months ago.

Im using the Livro theme if that helps at all. I am new and know nothing about plugins and stuff. If there a plugin that will do this for me?

I just want to create a Categories page or similar so site navigation is easier.
