Hi. I was reading a [post](https://www.reddit.com/r/Blogging/comments/191p5lg/free_wordpress_theme_for_blog/) of someone asking for free themes to use on wordpress for blogging. People suggested the free versions of Astra, Neve, Yuki, Ashe and Kadence. When i search for the aformentioned i don ‘ t seem to find the free versions of these themes, only that i have to upgrade my plan in order to use them. Then i saw tutorials about how to install a theme using the zip file and i tried doing that with the free .zip file of the Kadence theme but it appears that in order to install themes with this method i need to upgrade my plan… So what about these free limited versions ? Am i missing something ? Thank you for your time

all those themes you mentioned are free ones and you can easily install them in just one click. I suppose you are using the free version of WordPress? upgrade to creator mode if you want to upload themes, plugins etc.
Have you tried installing from within WordPress?
Dashboard > appearance > themes > add theme
appearance > theme > install new theme > search for a theme
You’re on WP.com. You have to pay to play! Migrate away from that hot mess and go with a 3rd party host for full FREE access to all of WP’s options.
WordPress .com and .org are two different products. You want to use the .org
