How did I do it? Post Template on multiple columns

I’m working on a new theme, and I want to add multiple columns to the category page, so that the posts are shown in three columns.

I did this before on another website of mine. The settings look like this:

Now, the funny thing is, when I try the same approach on my new theme, here’s what I get:

As you can see, the settings for the Post Template are completely different. The columns option is gone.

If I try to add a new Post Template to the website where I’ve been able to add the columns, it doesn’t have the columns options anymore. Instead, it gives me the same options as in the new website I’m working on, with just the Inner Blocks Content Width option.

In fact, I can’t even directly add a Post Template, I need to have a Query loop first.

I’m puzzled by this.
