I want to be able to add text or widgets on the dashboard so it’s the first thing my clients see when they login. Is there a way to do this without the use of a plugin?
How well can you code? You’ll still save a hell of a time making it do what you want vs hard coding and with every update, you’ll have to re-insert your code. Your choice.
Otherwise use **[Branda]**. Does exactly what you’re asking for. Or you can rip their code off since it’s GPL and hard code it into the functions.php file and repeat everytime the WordPress updates.
