How do I get a “mailbox”

[ad_1]

So, I’m trying to learn how to use the WordPress and have some problems. I have a domain and I am able to create custom email addresses ([[email protected]](mailto:[email protected])). But there are 2 things that I have not been able to understand.

* I have a contact page and I want the forms filled in there to be sent to my [“[email protected]](mailto:”[email protected])” mail address. But don’t know where those mails go because I can not find a “mailbox” in wordpress. How do I do that.
* I also want my employees to be able to contact each other through their custom email addresses. Is that possible through wordpress? if yes how, if not how can I do it then?

  1. A hosted mailbox is ‘nothing to do with wordpress’ – so separate them in your head. You can use it with Wp, but it’s not part of WP – and you won’t find a ‘mailbox’ in WP. It’s on your server.

To use the email with wordpress just use it – add it to form settings, use it as your admin email etc. To use it properly and more securely… get an SMTP plugin (fluent smtp for example) – I suggest you read their intro docs too to learn what it all means / how it works. They are good beginner docs.

Then give the appropriate email credentials to each worker for their inbox – and they can email each other. Again, nothing to do with WP. If you want specific website forms or info to go to them, put their info in the form settings or plugin on the website.

You really need to read a little around email / smtp / wordpress email – there’s too much to say / explain in a comment.
