Greetings! I am at my wits end trying to block spam from several wordpress websites. I have added the google capthca, removed contact forms and now added paid Akismet. Spam is still coming! Any advise is welcome.
Are you actively using comments on your websites?
If not; use a disable comments plugin. You can search and find from wordpress plugins.
Make sure you don‘t have any visible email addresses on the site.
It seems are getting spammed by a bit more advanced bots. Most bots can be stopped by simple honeypot field. You could add the honeypot field to your comment section and contact form as additional protection.
It’s hard to tell anything without seeing what kind of spam you are getting. As they are bypassing reCaptcha and Akismet, try different anti-spam solutions like OOPSpam. It works both with comments and contact form.
