How do I merge WP domain with Bluehost builder?

[ad_1]

I’m new to building a website, and I purchased the premium plan from wp for hosting and domain, but I couldn’t add any plugins unless I upgraded my plan to business. I’m just trying to make a site for blogging. So I canceled my plan and switched my hosting to Bluehost. I left the domain with wp because of the registar lock. I switched the domain in wp to Bluehost servers. However!! I’m still trying to figure out how to merge the two together. I want to build in bh (using wp plugin) but use my original domain from wp not my dummy domain from bh. When I look on bh it still shows my dummy domain, and now when I check on wp it has my domain name + .wordpress.com attached at the end. How can I get my URL to just say my domain name and continue building on bh?

  1. The problem is from the setup, if you’ve already paid for a bluehost hosting plan, just install WordPress in your hosting plan instead of using wordpress directly from WordPress.com

Can you explain exactly what you did, step by step, to switch it? Did you change the DNS records? Is the domain added to your BH account?

  3. You have to point your domain to the BH site. This is the case with any registrar, it is kinda automated if the registrar and your hosting service are the same. Because yours are different, you have to do that manually.
