How do I setup a solid dev environment in linux for wp dev

As mentioned in the title, I’m looking for a easy way of setting up dev environment for learning wp dev. In windows there are easy way like local-wp to create site, you need to worry about apache , or db setup. But in my Kubuntu distro(debian based) I tried installing local-wp it didn’t work. For manjro there was no release. I’m badly looking for a smooth way to setup wp. Any help is highly appreciated
