How do I use the WordPress page editor and not the theme editor

I'm having a problem with WordPress. When I edit using the page editor in WordPress in doesn't publish it on my site. The only stuff that show on my site are what is on my theme editor. Is there any way I could make it so my progress on my page editor is shown on my website and not my theme editor.
