How do you forward a domain and maintain the paths?

[ad_1]

So my client has a domain, let’s call it **domain1.com**, that is the main URL for their WordPress site (hosted on SiteGround), and they forward another domain, **domain2.com**, to that domain through GoDaddy.

**domain2.com** is also what they use for emails.

They decided to make up a URL (to put in a print ad) that does not exist using **domain2.com/randompage** and now they want that to redirect to **domain1.com/randompage** (I created a page so that’s at least real now).

GoDaddy does not maintain URL paths with their forwarding setting. Go figure.

Is there anyway to get this redirect set up without changing the name servers? I don’t want to impact the MX records. I’m at my wit’s end.
