How do you run WordPress in a DTAP street using CI/CD?

Being completely new to WordPress (and having a Software Engineering background as backend developer for integration systems), I wonder what are possible ways to run WordPress in a DTAP street? Or perhaps just two environments. Just curious to know any strategies.
