Hi everyone,
I’m a freelance web developer and I’ve been asked to create a website for a client that will have a store, booking functionality, and a few information pages. I’m wondering how much I should charge for this project.
The client is from seattle, he has an agency and I will be the only developer for this project.

That probably depends on your skill level, and whether you’re going to be be *developing* a site or using a page builder with a stock pre-built theme.
I worked with a few Seattle agencies from a project management perspective before moving to the dev side of things. GLG, Interlock, Blank Space, and a few others.
The cheapest was like $130/hour, the most expensive was more like $225/hour. For *development* at least. The design part of the projects were usually more like $70-$120/hour and that phase was estimated/quoted accordingly in a separate line item.
At the end of the day it really comes down to your own abilities. If you’re writing a whole bunch of bespoke JS/php/css to implement the design then your time is worth more than somebody who’s going to fire up Elementor with a theme they pulled off the WP repository and struggled to edit a span inside the footer.php template.
There really is no simple one size fits all answer.
Depends. Depends on your skills, time, rate, scope, and basically everything else. Pricing is hard. I know that e-commerce is always a huge hassle and headache so I won’t touch an e-commerce project for less than 12k and in the future I’ll probably charge more because I don’t want to be doing e-commerce but the right price every now and again could make it worth it to me.
